Just thought i would Post some pics of me trying the new (old) Sr4 on the Local River. These were taken on Sat Dec 18th when it was Bloody Freezing
Not Due to use it again till Feb due to work Commitments
The Boat has a Mid 80s 55Hp Yamaha and seems to run well even Starting in minus -2

I was just in a rush and after that run i had to take it to the boat storage place.
I have actually been "pulled" for speeding many moons ago, on the River in York River Police, Blue lights the works!

Thanks for your Opinions Guys, although I decide if i need to ware one or not, thats why its NOT Compulsory it left to the skippers Decision.
I would say a bouncy aid would be better on the river than a life jacket anyway.
And yes i know its cold in there as i swam in it only last year

well i,m glad he didnt fall in chewy.. i,m sure he might be more than capable of looking after himself thats his decision
my concern is the water temp might be more if its -2 on land i woundnt take the risks CWS is the main killer in any boating accident he might not be far from land but a life jacket would give him a fighting chance if the rivers flowing fast and he was in some sort of difficulty, even the best swimmers drown mate once the body goes in to shock ..!! and at that temp it takes less then a minute

http://www.rnli.org.uk/who_we_are/pr...ticleid=544201

i know its a river and not the sea but i would not go on any boat with out one ..!!

anyway thats my 2 penny worth now i,l shut up ..

Thanks Tony T, but chill out? i only did 2 runs up n down less than 250yrds each way.And please refrain from lecturing me as if i was an 8year old boy! Your entitled to your opinion, and im sure you have some experience in the way you are talking?
i must admit i am out of touch with wearing one as i have had in the past much larger boats over 10mtr Motor boats (Gin Palace?) i must admit i never thought to ware one then, i also lived on a Canal Boat for a number of years, again.........
But i will take it on board and when i am allowed out of this corner, i might even consider wearing one in the bath!
