Summing up a summer day....

You should have come down to the Forts at midday. Was very lumpy whilst out Mackereling. Took a couple of large breaking waves over the transom whilst on the drift and got soaked . Still, tested the bilge pump

Put Cheesee on the water 7 this morning and ran all over the bay and used some 140 litres of petrol (which cost GBP 1.08 pr. ltr) worth every penny

Back on the water tomorrow on Stefnir (Parker 900 ICE-SAR) as we are participating in helicopter rescue display

The last few years they've hardly been absent from the South west all year round.
A couple of years ago I was catching them at 'Hopes Nose' in late December!

Whats the weather been like for other people? In South Wales we have had heavy rain for the last 36 hrs non stop - quite a bit of flooding as the ground was hard baked so the water just ran off - so much for lovely sunny weather - what a change!!!
