Had a great day out on Sunday, weather was very good and i got to drive the Arun Lifeboat for about 20 mins. Also had a ride in an RIB-X 7mtr (same as manos has got) nice boat, Willow loved it, 40knts and asking for more. Met Manos at last, very nice he is too and of course also met the lovely Kathleen and Paul.

I managed to wangle a ride with my girly in a Gemini 7.8 metre - with a 225 Mariner 4 stroke, that engine is so quiet!!!! - handles well too, and loads of storage too (unlike my searider) - cost about 20k i think

Personal Preference.....

Might upset the purists a bit O. but I prefer 4 stroke because it's quiet & I can't smell it...

Sorry you 2 - stroke fanatics....have never minded anyone else's 2-stroke !!!
But on our lickle boat I think I'd notice...

I do realise that for some of you the scent of your 2-strokes is better than Chanel No 5

Went out in plenty of boats over the 3 day's.
My Fav? you all going to hate me for this but went out in the V24 power boat.
Flat out down towards IOW at about 75 MPH wot a rush!!

Had some good fun in the ribs too.

10 of us went to Cowes in the army rib for dinner Saturday night.
Top night out, clear moonlite sky coming back at 1230am!

So i guess for Ribex will will have to come acroos to Southampton for a night out!

Anyone know of some ood beaches that allow BBQ on the island?
Have an idea for beer and burgers one evening after the show.

Regards
