I am interested who else manufactures ribs with ply only in the transom just for my own understanding.

I only know the chaps at Menai since I bought my first rib off them a Menai 4.8SR based on a South African design. I might be wrong but I think I was also told that the Atlanta was based on a South African Gemini.

Anyway I found that the 4.8SR was rather uncomfortable and could not keep up with the larger ribs. I had no issues with the build and the guys at Menai have always looked after me and many of the chaps from our kneck of the woods have used them. Really helpful bunch.

I have now moved on and running a RC585 with a 140hp - a totally different animal and I am still buzzing from last Saturday when we went around Anglesey.

It's very common. A lot of the Dutch boats, Scorpion, Redbay...

Hello John,
Do you remember if the last setup visible on picture is OM 540 or OM 590 ?
This one with HONDA BF100 outboard engine.

I'm sorry that I did not introduce jet but I'm very close to order new BRIG NAVIATOR 570 plus HONDA BF100 in Poland for 5 persons family (270 kg in total now - next year maybe 300 kg ). We will use boat in Greece (near coast long trips like 50 - 100km). And HIGHFIELD (DL version shows on Southampton boat show) boats made very curious and now I have to decide between NAVIGATOR and OM540 ...

Many thanks for such forum and such helpful thread. And hello for all.

Just as a quick "throw it out there" question - are there any Crewsaver Ergofit LJs at cheap prices? (About 115 is the cheapest I've seen on the net for the 190N Auto).

http://www.ardmoor.co.uk/crewsaver-1...crew-1302-auto

Thanks.

Great photos John. Does anybody know of a source for the glove box that is shown in the Ribeye pictured? I have seen them in quite a few different manufacturers boats now and they look great

We're off to the BS on Saturday. We're staying in Andover on Fri night. W ould we be best to get the train from Winchester or somewhere to avoid traffic/parking stress?

Depends on what time you intend on getting there, but if you're early then head for the West Quay multi-storey. Only 5 to park all day and just 150 yards from the main entrance to the show.
