Top Speed

Hi all

the top speed is 50knots and it feels like 90 in this small boat :-) I had some fun "airtime" with it :-) The angle is and ride position is great, two people take place behind the wheel and the a nice cruising speed from 25 - 40 knots.. however the best conditions is when itīs windy and lots of waves

bloody hell, 50 knots. Our 5.4 SR had a 90 and chine walked when near flat out. Looks a v nice boat, the hull must be pretty good.

What determines max hull speed before chin walking then? I read something about a flat planing pad at the rear that stops it and increases your max speed should the engine be up to it. Great engine btw also, we had the 90.

I don't know what exactly "chin walked" means but itīs quite stable in top speed but you have to know what you are doing as not much hull are in the water. The hull is very V shaped all the way back and itīs very light as itīs built in vaccuum injected vinylester plastic... I love the engine, great power and acceleration compared to any 4-stroke..http://www.dahlnaval.se

it's the violent side to side wobble you get at max speed with the motor trimmed right out, which makes you poo yourself the first time it happens

I paid around 29000 EURO for the boat with the engine so i guess the boat would cost around 14000 EURO without the engine. Itīs built in Nacka in Sweden.

Lovely The optimax is perfect for the boat, it gives an acceleration and sound that any 4-stroke can't give. I have tried it with a 4-stroke 90 and itīs not near what the 115 merc gives in top speed and acceleration with a steelprop. The fuel consumtion is also great, at 25 knots 0,44/Nm at 40 knots around 0,7/Nm... I have about 20 Hours i think and been riding 1000Nm from midsummer when I got it.

Good luck with the test run!!

The test boat is fitted with a suzuki 90 4-Stroke. The boat is light but that fueleconomy is I did not expect that even from a suz 90.

I will drive it mostly alone, but is it possible to sit 2 adults and one 9 yo child?

Absolutely, I've been riding it a lot with my family this summer and we have one 4 Year old and a 13 months little one. At most we have been 6 people in it and that works as you sit on the tubes.

Just back after the testdrive.

I am impressed, but i think you did right with a optimax. The boat is today rated at maximum 90hp, but i think Henrik can make another 115

The suzuki had a good acceleration and was fast enough, but i think merc is my thing.

And in 25-30 knots it was like a toy...

First time ever i could not say "i donīt like this or that". The boat is exacly what i want.

I think as Henrik said a darker grey hull and black tubes will fit very good together.

I will work little with finance, but i think i will order one early next year.

Nice Itīs a very nice and well built boat that looks like nothing else. And absolutely with the 115 optimax together with a steel prop itīs racing!!! 25 - 45 knots in a couple of seconds hehe!!

Looks good!

Can you tell me/us the topspeed (gps) and if you know the rpm at topspeed. Which prop do you use?
And if you know rpm at other speeds...? 30knots, 40knots etc
