Solent Saturday 5th March Pics

Hi

As Andy mentioned on another thread, we took some photos while out and about yesterday (just before we got pummelled by hailstones!)

The rest of the photos are on www.rickydiver.com

Tim - thanks the photos came out really well!

Paul & Kathleen - sorry to have missed you. We took longer than we anticipated doing jobs on the club boat, so were out later. Still we had a great burn :-)

That first pic is crazy! You english have quite the evil weather. Im curious what is that 3rd picture of? It seams there is a lot of industrial ports where you guys boat out of.

Sirius

There are 2 big ports in the Solent - Portsmouth (Navy base, ferry port) and Southampton (Oil refinery, container port, cruise ships, car terminal)

The 3rd photo was taken from the bottom of Southampton Water looking towards Calshott and the Fawley refinery.

As for the weather..... it is a bit harsh at the moment. We had several bursts of hail and snow, followed by intervals of bright sunlight!
