I have always worried about running the poor buggers down or chopping them with the prop. There seems to be all sorts of advice on this but I think logically that as long as you don't make sudden strange moves there won't be a problem.

After all they follow ferries and other big ships which are often travelling pretty quick and I am sure won't slow down or try to avoid them. They obviously know what they are doing!!!
