Cool boat, love those.
Weren't you tempted to remove the standard fittings and go for a console like most others?

We may change it in the future but at the moment he is happy with the original set-up. I have a tornado rib with centre consol etc so he is aware of the different feelings you get from different seating arrangements, I must omit that when I sit in his rib with my arms on the tubes it is like sitting in an arm chair, very comfortable

This is my new Avon Searider with 30hp Mariner. Grew up with these boats as a diver through the 80's but then spent 20 years with Fletchers. Now trying to capture my lost youth and teach my children the joys of RIBS

Hi @ll,
now i have been the first time on river with my SR54. I have the hull closed.
Hull painted in marine grey, diy console made of plywood and grp. New transom.
So the hull isn t complete in the Water and only 1 tube is on water . when laying in water.
But runs smooth and fast. I have zhe old yam 75HP with a 17" prop.
my ignition was faulty on test drive, so it didn t came over 3000 revs.

I have to finish seat cushions and electic, also the doors for the console.

Mike from Stuttgart / Germany

For Nuge....

I've had three sets of seats made. The one pictured is narrow or they can be done full width of the console.

The third set I've had done as two singles with a grab rail in between them.

So having fitted a (1986) 50hp Yammie, nothing would do DonegalDan (posts on here - he's shy) but take his 4m (1977) Searider to Islay for the day. Despite 200m visibility, the 38Nm crossing from Ireland passed without incident and Babydoll returned to Greencastle (88Nm total) in time for supper. No important mechanical issues were experienced.
