Was wondering how you dealt with the additional weight of the 4-strokes?

I just fitted my SR6 with a Honda 130 and found it quite heavy in the rear...

I had an SR6 with a Honda 150, which weights just a little less than the 130. Seemed to be fine, but it did have a 40 gallon tank way up front under the deck that took some volume of the ballast. are your tubes touching the water in the back?

Indeed they do. Barely so but the waterline is not as straight as it used to be.
I too replaced the water ballast with a 40G tank. But need to keep that tank very full to have any effect. And I had moved console a bit back to put the tank in.
Saw the pics of your SR6 with the 150 earlier - looked very sharp - especially liked the seat arrangement . But you did not have a nav arch - taking another 50 + lbs off. Maybe all that made it work for you.

What kind of prop did you end up using?

The Honda 3 blade stainless 14.25 x 19 was perfect. I love the SR6 model.

Since this is a Searider thread, here is my new Searider, a 7.4.

Thanks for the info and congrats on the 7.4
Diesel?

If you ever come to NYC.... you are welcome to get in touch with that 25 year old lady SR6....and see if you still like her after likely having been spoiled by Ms 7.4..
