Crystic topcoat is basically a sprayable gel-coat. Nice to see you've secured an engine at last Jono!!! Is it the one off e-bay???

Can this stuff be sprayed by Mr Jo Average ? as I was thinking of just antifouling hull but this would be a good finish.

Crystic

Crystic can be sprayed on quite easily, if the finish is not too good you have the added attraction of being able to wet and dry sand and then buff it.

Ed, this is quite interesting, you sprayed it over orange if I remember correctly, does any colour show through and how many coats did you use ?

Regards

Pete

Spraying

Hi Pete

I used an undercoat on this job, it's called primecoat and is used for undercoat and plugbuilding, i spayed on the primecoat, a good three or four coats and then wet and dryed to 240 grit which is a pretty good key for the topcoat.
