Not in the same way that Mark Pascoe loves his Range Rover, I hope!

Ian - do I detect a touch of nostalgia?

I remember that boat! I seem to recall nearly parking it on top of DMs boat.

Doesn't look right now that it's bloomin' white and blue. They should be orange and grey!

Cost of Refurbishment

A good selection of pictures.

My question is:- How much would a refurbishment like this cost approximately for a Humber 5.3m?

How long did it take?

Is it a real job for the Proffessionals or could it be done at Home in a garage?

I could certainly manage the spraying but never worked with the other materials before. Your thoughts please.

Regards

Ed (Ribraff) is the man to see about price etc

I thought about doing the hull myself, but when i considered how much i was spending on the tubes, i thought let the pro's do it.

Rather than tarting this up I have gone for a full refurb, this boat is virtually brand new. I have had a new jockey console from avon. Hull stripped and gelcoated (white) new tubes in heavyduty 1500gsm hypalon (blue), new engine (75hp Mariner), new trailer (admiral), everthing is new on it.

Its been down at ed's for about a month. But he knows i've been in no rush for it. Great service, freindly, professional, well priced, i would reccomend olmec (ribraff) to any one

I was going to use it as our main teaching boat for next year, but now got diesel pro sport coming. So gonna sell it.

It was a great boat for a first rib and was wonderfully reliable (except for the one occasion when MeMe had his fu**ing camera with him
Looking forward to seeing her when delivered back to Pwllheli.
Nostalgia no, just focused on March!

The cost of doing a job like this depends on the state of the hull, this one was pretty good so the ground work did'nt take too long.
The inside is flowcoated and an anti-slip flooring applied along with the console which has also been sprayed up in white.

Ed, looks good, did you say you sprayed the gelcoat on the outside of the hull ?
