Safety Boat in Pwllheli

Well we've just come back from a week in Pwllheli/Abersoch helping Jono G provide safety cover for the South Camarthenshire Yacht Club - what a great week. We haven't taken too many pics (too busy holding on most of the time) - but here are some we did take...

1) The competitors.........
2) Abersoch on a hot sunny day (amazing scenery - pic doesn't do it justice)
3) 'Safety 1' after towing in some of the competitors - you may recognise him...

And from there - headed off to Barmouth for some fish and chips on the keyside.

However, on the way...

1) Jono starting waving and so we followed him...
2) & 3) The Dolphin that was circling a school of mackeral and snacking on them at leisure (although you can't see the mackeral in the pics)...

From then on it was a bit dark for photos - and the night run back to Abersoch was excellent - even the sudden appearance of a lobster pot didn't spoil things (although it's interesting to note that the simultaneous shouting/screaming of the driver and navigator has EXACTLY the same effect on the crew as "lobster-pot approaching, I'm going to maneouvre to avoid it..." in true communicate-with-your-crew PB2 style...i.e. they both held on tight!!).

Thanks to those who were around last week - 32 hours on our new boat - loads of experience and advice - and to Dave Manning for showing us Bardsey Sound and for fixing the errant rollers on our trailer!!

Dylan & Nicky...

Barmouth and Fairbourne used to be my old stomping ground for a few years.
How long did it take you back to Abersoch by boat?
