Your a lucky lad living up there in Scotland I have a 600 mile round trip just to get to the Clyde. While up there last weekend we heard the isle of Little Cumbrae is up for sale a snip at 2.5 million including the massive house, lighthouse & castle, oh and the seals has anyone got a spare £2,499,950 to invest

One of those seals (if its the ones at the front of the house) gripped my fin at 30mtrs... If you come up again, let the clyde ribbing fraternity know, might be one or two wee places we could show you.

It's been up for sale for years as far as I'm aware. not to handy for Tesco's

Think you might just have been pipped at the post where Little Cumbrae is concerned......

Mind you, the £2.5M would have just bought the Island, you'd need another £6M to sort it all out!

Yeah, the trail is a drag but its worth it

Hehe ... funny you should say that too, cos I was thinking.. I do the same sort of trip up to the old family home in the Northwest of Scotland to the Summer Isles where the scenery is amongst the best in the world I think And dont you know, I keep telling my neighbour up there how lucky he is !! that he has it on his door step, and ofcourse, he just thinks it looks ok ..... Its a great feeling to get out of the rat race for a while though, go exploring on the water, its the best , ...and so say all of us I hear you fellow ribsters shout

Looks like you had a cracking trip! Good boat, the Zodiac.

Glad you got decent weather. It's a brilliant area, with so many places to visit by small boat. Used to go to the Isle of Cumbrae every summer as a nipper. I remember going to Little Cumbrae in an 8ft fibregalss dingy, with a 1.5hp seagull!

Hopefully, you'll be able to come back up this way soon.

As has been mentioned, it's good to see your home patch from someone else's perspective.

Cheers
