Interesting point.

We tend to wear them on the non tidal Thames but this time we didn't. Don't know why we didn't.

Nobody wears them on the Thames including the EA Lock Keepers and River Inspectors. Hardly a good example particularly when I know the rest of the EA staff have to wear them when the go near a puddle!!!

Its in Marlow. Just downstream from the bridge. Its at the very end of St Peter Street.

Are you still interested in doing a trip through Central London again??? I was thinking about organising something soon.

If you ever see a lock keeper wearing a life jacket it's a good indication that the conditions are really bad!
