RIB nursery

Ok ,who says we dont have RIB's in the US.
Yes, they are generally undersized, but given a few years and "tender "care maybe they will grow.
Except for the Protector in the background, which is fine as it is.
The collection below taken on independance day in the Bay:
theres hope yet!!!

I spent last weekend in Newport, RI, USA for a big sailing regatta and I must say that the high end East Coast yachttie crowd has certainly discovered RIBs. Saw a number of Protectors, lots of Zodiac Pros, ABs, Novarinas (sp?), a few Ribcraft and even another truely ratty old 5.4 Searider, with a shiny new Suzi. Seemed as if almost 1 in 5 boats under 20' were RIBS, thogh I'm probably being generous.

Too bad the old Merc on my Searider let me down... Gotta find a way to get a new outboard, that's the 3rd time this season...

Looks like the entire stock of a Rib charter company, with the charter company having the best weekend of the year for takings.
