Revenger Rib in Kefalonia

Seen in Assos, Kefalonia, Greece a couple of weeks ago, (late June).

Didn't notice the red ensign till I got back home.

Is it yours?

Its a great place to RIB.

We hired a 7.55 mtr Cobra from Ionian Seafaries

Wayne and his wife Alie run it. Great couple, very helpful.
We had the Cobra for 4 days and went right round the island, plus a visit to Ithica, Levkas and even around Skorpios. We could have gone across to Zakynthos but didn't have time. Bit pricey on fuel but a fantastic trip.

We only saw the Revenger after we'd given our boat back.

Very nice.

Came back from Ithica on Sunday, would have loved to have had the rib there!! maybe next time!

There was a lovely Scorpion down at the far end of the harbour in Vathy and a nice boston whaler in the harbour. it wasnt until i got close i realised it had "T.T" in front of the name! never did see the mother ship but it must have been something pretty large!

We stayed in Fiscardo and there were loads of huge Gin Palaces. I did make the comment when looking at one of the boats, that it looked just like my boat...... except I was referring to the RIB stuck on a shelf at the stern!!!!
Some people have lots of money!

We got 'turned-over' by the Port Authority in Vathy. They cheched everything.... Dates on the flares/fire extinguishers, how many life jackets we had.... the life-raft.... and of course my ICC which confused them a bit. They made a phone call to check it out and took it into their office for a time.

Seemed to come back happy, (for them) though!

Moral - Don't boat in Greece in a boat with an engine bigger than 30hp unless you have the paperwork all OK!!!!

Just as well they didn't breathalyse me. It was just after lunch!

Nice!

Strangly we sat in a bar on the right side of the harbour as you come in from the water for most of one afternoon watching the world go by and having a drink and something to eat.

On the table next to us were 3 of Ithica's finest constabulary. They arrived just after us and we left before them and they were drinking Mythos all afternoon!! very friendly they were to and gave us a polite wave as we drove away!

Was always interesting watching the charter boats coming in. The practice of stern to morning is quite an art!

Must have been the same bar we had lunch at. This is my dear lady wife taking sustenance. You can just see our Cobra sticking out between the two stern to yachts. Being a RIB with a vulnerable engine, I was bow to....

The building behind my wife is the Port Authority headquarters.... hence our visitation I suspect. To be honest, they were polite enough. It was the black jackets and jack-boots they were wearing that had us worried!

And yes, watching the flotillas come in and berth is a great sport. Our apartment in Fiscardo offered us a great view of the Sunsail fleet coming in. It proved the science of light travelling faster than sound. First you saw the boats hit each other... then a second later you heard the bang and crunch... (followed by a few choice words).

Better than a floor show!

Would recoginse the table cloth anywhere! Was the best resturant along there by a margin and we did try them all!

The 9mm strapped to their hip raised an eyebrow with SWMBO but they were nice really!

Thought Vathy was a lovely place! very tranquil and pretty.

Look forward to seeing you both soon.

Yes, the prop came back as I took it out.
Just as well really as this one was expensive steel, unlike the ally one we redesigned in the BVI.

The beer was a small one... She migrated to the big ones later!
