Queensferry Crossing

For those who may be interested this is the new Forth road bridge - the Queensferry Crossing - the structure has advanced since the photos were taken so it is now nearer being joined than shown. When looking at the photos, bear in mind that the structure is 1.7 miles long!

it doesn't look that big a bridge until you see the container ship passing under it

It does look impressive.

Reminds of the old Sunday Times advert of two parts of a bridge built from either end not quite marrying up in the middle, one side a few feet higher than the other with the strap line "ever wish you were better informed?"

Showing my age...now where did I put the Zimmer frame (oh dear, Altzheimers as well)
