QM2 forced to put into Torbay v. early yesterday morning.
Apparantly two ladies had bad accidents "on the dance floor, in the early hours of the morning" !!
and "Strong Force 6 winds and seas" prohibited RNLI takeoff of the casualties until daybreak.
QM2 sailed off again last evening.

Blimey if Force 6 can do that to a 150,000 tonner.......what chance is there for us?

According to the DT this morning, the transfer of the casualties to the lifeboat took a few minutes but it took 2 hours to get along side.

I have in my mind the picture of two elderly ladies being lowered from the deck, on a rope, down to an Atlantic 21 bobbing around in the swell!!
