Hi Jono,

It's a year or so since I was last up river that far (more of a West Coast and Shannon person).

We are big into common sense here, so an appropriate and safe speed for the conditions and above all ........ wash awareness especially when passing moored craft / marinas.

As you may have seen, we now have a growing number of marinas and moorings in the city and there is also a new river bus operating up along the quays.

The quays can also be quite shallow in the upper reaches near the central rail station, Heuston Station at low water. ( Beware shopping trolleys!).

I've posted your question over on CPB with regard to the official story on speed in the city.

Should have a reply today.

Kind regards,

Stuart

Jono

No probs.... All welcome!

Lots of our people are also on here and the YBW forums as well.

John Kennet gave me lots of help and advice when I set up CPB a couple of years ago so any thing we can do, ............Just ask!

A few replies to your query over on CPB much along the line that I gave you already. Common sense o speed and wake.

Kind regards,

Stuart

RIBase
Nice one guys! Looks like a cracking trip on a great day

Link shows Dublin Fire Brigade (I think) running this stretch of the river in their Sawn-off Redbay - no big concerns about wash there!

As regards ribbing hazards, I'd have thought most of them weren't so much in the river, as walking along the Quays, dealing drugs....
