Plymouth to San Diego

So the Americas cup qualifiers arrived stateside, after their last races in good old Plymouth. (Fond memories, as taught school there for a couple of years ,eons ago !!

Brought with them a boat load of support RIB's as well as this local one, that they were using for a camera boat.(NIce engine

)
Practise this week and then races start on the weekend.

So they're in SD this weekend?

I was going to head out on SF Bay and see if I could spot any of the Cup hopefuls. Guess I'll head out crabbing instead (or sit around and veg out watching TV...)

we were out there last week watching them build the village - looked a great venue - we were on the USS Midway at the time - a great use for an old carrier!

Nope !
Seems congress couldn't get even that sorted.
A lot of the local boats (and not so local ) were hired to take the press/VIP's around instead.
Seems they can make exceptions on other arena's( for sports stars/actors when it comes to immigration,) but they can't even make it easy for a travelling AC "Circus" when it comes to town.
My buddies got some business out of it though
