Pics of Our New Excalibur Rib "Oisre"

Managed to stop tearing around and took some time out to take a few photos of our New 7m Excalibur Rib. The old boat is in there some where as well, still looks good when flying!! I am trying to get as vertical as Ronan but still havent managed it yet, well not for the camera anyway. Those of you who know Ronan will know what i am talking about (Best of luck to Ronan in his new business by the way, (went out on his own, Brave lad! ))
All in all very happy with the set up on the boat, especially when it comes to diving. Had 8 sets of gear and 10 divers the other day and she loves a bit of speed. Quality is superb and the lads in Excalibur couldn't have been more helpfull in accomodating our frequent requests. Thanks Joe and staff!
Rob.

Radar Mount

Thanks Codprawn,
There ya go! Thats about the best that i have the mo. There is a plate that runs across the top of the aframe and the bottom of the "pipe/tube" has a plate welded to it and they are bolted down with 4 bolts with 2 struts providing extra support.

Boat looks v. impressive!! Fitout and stainless work looks well. Any particular reason why the cockpit is raised? Is it to see over that high bow or just the passengers in front?

Will keep an eye out for ya blasting around the place, we're based in Crosshaven for another wk or 2 before headin "down west".

Hi Swignn. To ans your questions. Yes on both.

Hi Codprawn. we got a rl70c and it has gone back under warrenty as it was "hanging". they said they couldn't find anything wrong but replaced the cpu anyway! also the colour "matching" fish finder has condensation in it already! I attach a shot of our console layout which we fitted ourselves) Radar has come in handy already a couple of times in fog. still getting the hang of it. Must read the manual over the winter!!

Yes I am going for the add on fishfinder module - suppose it would be criminal to have a set capable of taking radar and not using it!!!

Console

Nice console layout but one thought. If you stuff the boat and take a header into the console, that screen has a nasty sharp edge that could do some damage. My preference is to have some sort of padding or a stainless rail around the windscreen. The rail also hurts when you hit it but wont cut your face up!

Screen Bar Coming

Hi Alan
There is a screen bar been made as we speak (stainless steel). there was a wee delay on it as it would have to go to the lads who were going to measure it up for us (Vertical Ronan as it happens!) and that would mean that we would not have the boat for a while. NO Way!!! Excalibur has another boat on order and it to has the same console as ourselves and it will go to Ronan who will fit etc in situ, and do one for us as well Well spotted all the same. Not much gets past you lot!!
Rob
