Chris: LA has a lot to offer, and certainly the better part is away from the Freeways and the glitter. Brutus
it's no wonder that driving off road is so popular over there, I'm thinking of shipping my landrover over to give it a try

I was going to suggest combining the rough camping with a bit of off roading Kerny, but as you've not got a proper motor that's a non starter

Would you expect anything less from him chris
He'd love a Landrover but he's shot his self in the foot with all his Landy bashing there's no way he can have one now he'd never live it down

Brutus, a stupid question I know, but how do you get there from California with all your diving kit and the boat, or do you hire from somewhere local, more great pics by the way

Dear Chris, that’s not a stupid question by any means. I have spent the last five years thinking about logistics. The short reply is: I source absolutely everything from the States. There is zero possibility to attain equipment locally, and in the off chance I could, whomever controls it behaves as if they possess the kit’s own weight in platinum. It is very difficult to bring anything into Patagonia without having to deal with cost-prohibitive taxes, penalties, etc. The best bet is to simply ingress as a tourist, which unfortunately means removing all the equipment from the country after a period of 3 months, although it is not uncommon to make a token trip out and return the same week in order to be granted another 3 month stay.

Brutus

Ps. Also, one learns what works and what doesn’t. For instance at first I took an Apeks ‘flight’ regulator, a beautiful low profile unit. Later I realized that a proper cold water regulator is needed as free flow would occur every once and a while.

Ps2. Fishing? Are any of you guys familiar with Riffe
