Parker Ribs the factory

Just got these photos showing "bird's eye" view of the Model Art factory in Ostroda Poland

When the first Parker ribs were made in 2000 only the building with the dark roof to the right of the blue chimney existed.
Here all Parker ribs, Parker boats and other brands are built. These facilities also house the fully auto CMS 5 axel milling machine for making the tooling.

What's the relationship with Model Art? They "are" Parker or they own Parker, or Parker just contract them? Do they make other ranges too?

No Model Art do now own Parker . The Parker brand and moulds are ours. Some 20 years ago we approached a small company called Model Art with a proposal for them to make Parker ribs for us. Now Model Art which then only made plugs and moulds has grown to be one of the most modern boat yards in Europe. Askeladden and Parker boats followed and two other brand names but not ribs . I can guess that the size of our production facilities in Poland may have made some speechless.

Parker Ribs the factory

I thought that Parker owned the factory, but from what you say it sounds like the company doesn't actually have any manufacturing capacity of its own. Or have I misunderstood?

Model-Art | CNC | modele i formy przemys?owe, ?odzie, laminaty
and here as well.

Impressive for sure and a bit of a shock as well. That machine has been in operation for about 6 years now and does a great job.

I think it's the way that you refer to it as "our factory" that gives the impression that it's yours!

John, my post 3 is very clear what I said.
the photos show how the relationship / partnership has developed over the last 20 years. as for the history of Parker Ribs you never asked you only assumed. Should one visit the factory in Ostroda one will see a two signs at the entrance . Model Art and Parker Poland

Parker Ribs over the years have grown from strength to strength. We are not a high volume cheap rib manufacturer. Our ribs are bespoke and custom built.
The Parker boats and Askeladden boats have an ever increasing range with 5 new models introduced in 2015. This a 10 mtr all new model is being prepared for the Paris Boat Show in December

Please come and see us at Seawork next week where you will see on the water a twin diesel stern drive Parker Baltic Cruiser a 10 mtr top of the range cabin rib.

this is what I call getting full advantage of ones trade membership

I thought I would continue this thread as Plant number 2 is just 3 miles up the road from Plant No 1 and is now up and running. This new plant will accommodate the new lines of hard boats giving more production space in Plant no 1 for the rib assembly

Parker Poland who are our wholly owned subsidiary are also expanding their premises in Czosnow just north of Warsaw. Here are a few photos showing the work so far. I will post more once the work has been completed.
This new extension will accommodate a large show room and warehouse

Poly, if you mean the US boat builder Parker then no . The only thing in common is the name. The Parker name as Parker Ribs and Parker Boats comes from the name of the parent company A.H.Parker & Sons (Gt Britain) Ltd
