Thanks for all the replies, we’ll try and keep the thread updated as much as possible.

Got the block and crank back from the machine shop. So on with fitting the new pistons and bearings now, whilst the head is away being skimmed.

Managed to remove the leg last week but have found that it requires new rams due to them being very badly corroded, so on with trying to find some replacement ones now.

But its progressing slowly, on with gettig the engine bay and under the rear deck ready for painting at then moment, will get some more pics for you all when the weathers good enough to take the cover off

Just a few pics of the engine going back together

The head ready for the valves to be fitted

The crank fitted after being reground and the block having a rebore

The new Pistons ready to be fitted

Is starting to come together now

Have just sourced a pair of rams for the trim / tilt on the leg as well so should be able to start rebuilding that soon.

Well after a bit of work old spice is eventually back in the water.

The engine went back in a few months ago but decided to refurb the out drive aswell. New seals, new pipes, new trim rams and new steering ram was fitted. So held up getting her back in the water for a bit.

Whilst doing the leg we have fabricated some frame work to brace the transom round where the outdrive bolts to the bearers.

A new exhuast fitting has been fabricated as the old one had worn and had gone like tinfoil.

All the rear deck fittings have been removed and re-sealed down, whilst everything was removed we decided to beef up the floor around where the checker plate is fixed just to help prevent any flex.

Just 2 photos of her in the water for now (will try and get round to posting the rest pics from the rebuild *soon) since taking the photos the new seat cushions have been fitted.

Good to see the old girl back where she belongs.

That old boat has a lot of fond memories for a few of us Solent based members, not just Pete7.

Great to see her back afloat, and to see a nice shiny leg that isn't covered in weed!

I am, as I've said before, so pleased she's gone to people so committed in doing an excellent refurb and the results speak for themselves.

What sort of speed are you getting out of her?
