The Avon looks a bit stern heavy doesnt it? Lots of bow in the air in your shots & the console appear to be set well back. Bet it moves with a 150 opti on the back though!

Alan, anything would have looked stern heavy in the seas we were in that day.
Jahno, the'grin' was the g-force on my face, it was good fun though even when climbing back onboard. At least I know the drysuit doesn't leak! Thanks

Tru Blu Too

Alan

It was allways a risk fitting hir out at the stern. But as it turns out she is a very good ride. I have played in 6 - 10ft surf in a f 6/7 gusting 8 off gimblet rock and while she sits a bit bow happy some times she land spot on everytime.

When you had your Opti what did she rev to? and with what pitch prop?

I'm down to a 17pitch and only getting 5300 rpm, i should be getting nearer to 5800, thinking about trying 15 or having my 17 taken down to a 16. She pulls one up, little fuel about, and trimmed up about 48 knots. cruises 4 up at 40 knots.

Blu Streak

Jono, I think I was shouting "YOU TWAT".....I don't remember putting in any ****'s.

Good fun, like Ian I'm not too keen on jet bikes however, in the right hands they're ok.

I'm off to the shops to get a dry suit so I can have a ride next time we're out.

Great photos....who took them of you and Ian?

Pitch

Jahno,

IIRC the 150 Opti on Yellowtang our DS21 span a 19inch prop and we got 5500+ at WOT. (& about 42kts).

HTH,
Alan
