Thank you for posting the video and photos. I'd really like to do something similar, if not off Scotland, then somewhere else round the British Isles. Just wondering what Category your boat is; B or C.

The only thing that really worries me about committing to that much time on the water is what the weather will be like. Can put up with low temperatures as long as it's fine. Two weeks on the water in the rain will put a serious strain on my relationship. Still, when we get home I can always sleep in the boat.

Ah, just realised. Got to get a boat first.

Now I've watched the video again, this time with sound, I'm not entirely sure of the connection between those great views (and good quality video) with Freebird played on a Casio.

Are there copyright restrictions preventing somebody from putting up 30 year old music from a CD onto You Tube? If there aren't, could you have used the original?

Actually, forgive the above ramblings, it just seemed a shame to have that great video and then put it with that soundtrack.

Youtube remove automatically any copyrighted music including the original. The music was all I could find of the correct length that was free off the net. This is the reason the original music was stripped, again!
It isn't easy finding nearly 10mins of music!
Incidentally I have never heard of freebird or the track in my life although I can see that it is supposedly well known.
I am going to try and audioswap it but this feature wasn't working befre on the last two tries.

The original by Lynyrd Skynyrd was about 8 minutes long, but the version on the live album, "One More From the Road" was just over 14 minutes in length and was recorded in July 1976.

Right that's enough geekiness for now. Thinking about it, the live version might be better suited to crashing through surf or off the tops of big waves as it's a bit on the lively side. Still, my moaning not withstanding; the videos and stills were great, thanks again.

I asked earlier if your boat was rated B or C, and which category the areas you were sailing through came under. If you could enlighten me that would be great.

Brilliant! Don't you just love to see a well-behaved and intelligent-looking dog having a great day out? Loved the shot of him waiting with paws on the tubes waiting for his leave pass. LOL
