A friend of mine did all the wiring and rigging for this Hurricane. What is truly amazing is that the whole consol has shock mitigation not just the jockey seats.

It was extremely hard to wire as the shock mitigation system has eight inches of travel and all the wiring has to be able to move the full eight inches. Lots of other cool toys too!!! It is a stepped aluminum hull and a terrific ride. They also chipped the verados to get the extra horsepower. The hull was built by Professional Components in Sidney B.C.

I noticed that the entire consule was bouncing around. The wiring would have been a trick no doubt... but imagine the technology that must have gone into the gimballed drink holders!

I can get a quote from a friend who sells Hurricanes if you like Cod. Any particular options you would like?

That system is the Jet-Float brand, same principal though as Versadock, he did seem to plant the rib pretty hi up the dock, shame he did not go to reverse it off that would have been quite interesting to watch

No thanks I would go for a Revenger 34 or a Ring with 4x350 on it. Or better still 2x1200hp petrol sterndrives!!!

Looked at the video, for the (flatish) sea conditions it looked a very bumpy ride - no wonder they need the bouncy castle (sorry I mean seats! )

Well I asked anyway. I had guessed around $400K USD. Here's his response:

Hi Stu,

The factory just sold 6 to Zodiac USA. Zodiac USA then resold to the US
Feds. The price Zodiac USA purchased them from the factory all jazzed up
was for 600k USD.
I would say one of the most expensive boats per foot ever built that I know
of.
I would say you are close if some of the mil spec items were removed.

M

Fairly alarming, considering they probably got a bulk discount!

That's just silly. If I had $600k to spend (which is not as much as it used to be of course...) I would not go for something like that - its an impressive technological achievement I suppose but for well on the wrong side of a quarter of a million pounds I would be looking for something with a roof - somebody here has just bought a commercial 14 metre catamaran with twin 500hp Cat diesels for less than that and would have had enough change left over to buy a 9m Parker for nice days!

Well... Who said they have _only_ $0.6M to spend? LOL

Nice boat BTW. I thought CZ7 is expensive. Now I know what is "expensive".

...Well the next time a buddy says to me "you paid how much for your boat?" , I can tell them about less that 1.7 % of what the U.S. military spends on a single zodiac.

Again, if I had a budget that could accomodate that kind of money for a boat I'd probably opt for an FB designs Tecno 42 instead (or maybe a 55).
