NW Ribsters weekend 28-29 June 2003 Section 3 - The Swellies
Yes folks, 'Llynhome', 'Caprice' and 'The Full Morty' did The Swellies...twice. The Menai Straits is an 'interesting' piece of water.

BTW Spiderman (the ribster formerly known as Crazyhorse) had, by now, abandoned DM's boat for the chance to 'pilot' The Full Morty...

Made it safeley. Just the trip past Puffin Island in a very nasty sea with a boat with no steering left...

As we entered The Swellies, by that island with the house on it a jetski approached at a very fast speed. He seemed to be heading for the middle of the channel where the worst of the rocks and current are.

Ah, we thought, he'll turn round in a second. But no. He kept his course and went straight over the rocks. Luckily he had a very shallow draft as he skimmed on regardless!

DM stated, "Well he's either got no brain at all or he is a very skilled jetskier with years of local knowledge."

I suspect the former...
