Our A frame on the ocean pro would hold a darn site more than a radar before it started wobbling!

Is it a Humber frame and do you have any pictures?

Thanks for posting picture. It looks one piece, mine is welded at the point where the plate bolts to the transom.

Me too

Just looking, mind. You should call them to see what is going to be showing. I expect that the Demonstators will be out to, which is always fun...

Before you give up on the A-frame though, try a run with all the other kit taken off it - just to see what effect it has. Do you have a flare box of tools on there?

they,re both humber A frames we have had both-seems to depend on what they have in when they do yours . The one piece one on our pro was fine but that welded joint on the angle is such an obvious stress point it should never have been made that way. The sorta fish plate in there is totally insufficient on its own. Ah well appears no thought was given to it and no surpise really

Yes the flare boxes are full of tools, there tied on to there cradles now after watching them bounce around. I'll take them off and give it a try tomorrow.

I think Wavelengths idea of welding a second plate sounds good. Thanks for the tip.

I phoned redbay on Thursday to ask what might be around on the 16th but I missed the call back. I'll ring again on Monday.

Yes, spoke to Gary on Monday.

He said they'll have plenty of boats on the water to play around with.

Just looking at ferry times, really need to get there and back on the same day if possible. I've never been to Ireland. Looks like a drive over over to the west coast, maybe Stranraer, ferry from there then drive up.

Do you have any idea of the best place to cross and how long it takes to drive up to Redbay from the ferry terminal?
