Security was very tight in the Baie de Seine ;in fact on D Day we saw only two other leisure boats .a speed limit of 15 knots was imposed with exclusion zones around most of the ports.We were summoned by the coastguard who were very friendly ;intercepted by a rib from the carrier Charles de Gaullle fixed machine gun and fully armed troops - not at all friendly who sent us on our way with no wish for entente cordiale.
Over the few days we managed to visit some of the beaches and on D Day went into Couselles sur Mer -Juno beach -Canadien

We based ouselves in Le Havre 2 nights and Fecamp 2 nights with the crossings being Ipswich -Ramsgate -Sovereign Yacht Harbour - Fecamp ;about 145 miles in around 5 hours of sea travel each way.Fecamp now has petriol in the marina which is a great bonus
