Have you got wear patches on the tubes.
As we have white tubes i wished i had had them fitted from new
Just as a matter of interest do you know how low your engine is set i/e where the cav plate is, as i have a speed issue with ours.
Good looking boat you will have fun.

I trailered my last Scorpion 8.5 which was pretty interesting around Jersey ...

This time I've opted for a Versadock, so I won't need to take it out of the water.

It's a 21" pitch four blade Mercury prop. Not sure what height it's set at, but this time feel the boat is so well set-up I won't be changing anything.

Quick note about OUTSTANDING after-sales service from Scorpion. Had some interference on VHF from SeaStar steering pump. Scorpion sent a replacement ICOM VHF which arrived next day, and have been absolutely committed to sorting ASAP. Fantastic company - special thanks to Joy Rickman who is priceless.

Hi Freetrader

Just wondering how the versa dock is working out? I looked long and hard at that product and although I eventualy went with a Dry Stack I would be interested to hear of your experiances with it.

Versadock

Nick Wood from Compass, me and another mate, built half of it last night. If it's not floated off in the harbour, we should have it ready by the weekend. Fingers-crossed it will do the job! We'll post some pictures on rib.net soon.

8.5

Nope it's not stepped. Not too sure about the stepped hull, bit concerned about lack of lateral stability and chine-walk. That said I've not driven one, so couldn't comment.
