JWalker whats Klear - is it a protection for stainless props if so where can you get it and whats its 'Sunday name ' ?

I'm just jealous as I have sold my coded rib, what are you planning to do with it?

Staggered seats means no knocked knees, more elbow room and better sight lines. And the navigator can read charts without upsetting the helm

Seriously, we get so many requests for rides that the only way we can do it and afford it is to take paying passengers; and that means going through the legal niceties. Better to be safe than sorry.

We do have something else up our sleeves

of which more anon.

Is that a standard Humber console and jockeys?
If so how do you find the height of the jockeys to the console and the distance between them and the console?
Or is it the slimline version jockeys, with the same queries?
I have the large console on order with the hull but was going to wait till I had it to buy jockeys simply to make sure positioning and heights were going to OK before buying seats. Curious on what you think of yours if they are standard Humber bits.........

Prop covers are red I think, look like prop sox which are brilliant pieces of kit. or have you found an orange version of them? :-)

Ta. We're both desperate to get her back on the water; but with a new and untried motor I'm inclined to wait for something less than F9

There could be a couple of weather/work windows in the next two weeks, but not this week.

If you'd been by the roadworks in Oban at about 0930 last Saturday you could have checked them,

but as you weren't:

It's all Humber furniture*, the pods aren't slimline (flared sides, not vertical) so a touch tight down the middle (hence the staggered arrangement); relative heights are OK, even for we vertically challenged bods

I tend to sit down when on a long easy run, but stand up for the more interesting bits - I can see over the bow then!

The quality of the fittings is OK; functional rather than luxurious. But who ever bought a Humber to impress the ladies? I think I'd like the seat back brought forward, but not the pod, if you see what I mean. Then I'd have more back support and still have foot room between seat and console to move around. Perhaps lash a cushion to the back rest?

*Apart from the anchor locker/liferaft compartment, which was designed and built from aluminium sheet by the QMN crew. Much better than the standard GRP anchor locker.

Is that a Destroyer or OP hull? I did try the Destroyer with loose seats at the factory and it was a bit tight, OP was just a tad wider.
The other question is did Quinqari make the A frame? I am more than likely going to get mine made by them and that one you have is a whole lot better and neater than the Humber version.

Ocean Pro. Heavier boat (Humber list yours at 385Kg bare boat, ours at 530Kg) so hopefully a bit stronger for when I bump into Scotland

I'm not sure where the A frame came from - it's adjustable for width, so if the boat ever gets wider we'll be OK

(It's actually come in useful because the new engine is taller than the old one; like some old corsetry, just lift and seperate

) And it's now got 6 bolts holding it to the transom; which is probably A Good Thing.

Have you finalised prop, if your still deciding which one the 23" would be my guess, the 21" will be far to low I've a 25" but the boats lighter.

I'm a little further down the ownership road with the engine, any issues PM..

The Black Lump is already fitted with a 23" prop, so we'll just have to wait and see...
