Based on my experience of a 5.25 with a 90 on the back I reckon that 90 Twatsooo will give you about 35 knots at full chat. I would suggest a 17" pitch prop will be best suited.

Mike my 5.85 Ribtec with an elderly 90 Yamaha would pull 30 kts. She had a 17" pitch prop which was holding her back to about 4500rpm so with a 15" I would have expected 33-34 kts, much older engine that your Tohatsu mind.

Different Hull too, the Osprey would probably be a little faster due to the hull design.

It has come with 17 prop, the old engine had a 19 stainless and it flew along with that about 40knts with some room on revs still.

I will be happy (at the moment anyway) to be getting 40. Still getting the hang of ribs, my cruiser pushed 27/30knts at a push...

Have chosen to keep the osprey over the humber (going on sale soon) as it has a really good beam, and the new (extra) pod seat i have had made will fit better - still giving plety of deck space to get round.

Using this set up as stepping stone to getting newer hull in the next couple of years...(wife and finances allowing) Lol

Yes mate it's a typo, went to hit the OSPREY key but hit the RIBTEC one instead!

No, just a bit of similarish size/engine comparison for mike's info.

I reckon a Ribtec 585 would be faster than a Viper of the same length. The Ribtecs are fast boats, eh Kernow?
