So yeah, of course there were going to be more RIB photos
What I didn't fully appreciate when commenting above is that there has been a sudden and dramatic uptake in the company's services - more specifically for large bespoke commercial vessels (although the Southampton Show saw a few smaller leisure boats being ordered too).
Long term fans of Redbay will fondly remember the original 9.1m boats that morphed into the 11m hull, itself recently gaining a potential meter in a mould retool. These are wide hulls that can easily accommodate twin diesel installations, the extra meter in the 12m now enables the fitting of waterjets or allows more layout options for deck/cabin space in conventional outdrive fitouts.
Sandy's 12m (Venture West) has twin Yanmar 315s with outdrives and he has used the space for extra deck. There is another 12m finishing in the laminating hall for a current 11m owner - a private craft for long distance cruising. The other white 11m above will belong to Nichol McKinnon (Dances with Supertankers
If I've remembered correctly, there is another 10m+ in the mould at present adjusted for twin waterjets. That is destined for patrol work in Lough Neagh.
