Love the Lough Neagh Fisheries boat - looking forward to seeing her on the water.

So yes indeed - St. Kilda it is. She is well along and towering above donegaldan who was up to leave Deep Six in for servicing. There were a few other nice hulls taking shape on the main floor, the Lough Neagh Fisheries jet boat is an eyecatcher in grey and the latest Bouncer (12m) is shaping up nicely with twin Yanmar 370s. I'll be back to collect Deep Six in a couple of weeks, so more then. Plz excuse the Ribeye in the last pic - it's OK 'cos it's actually a splash

Redbay knew this and yes the other good boat builders should and do offer good service I am sure, but it's nice to feel as though you are a valued customer even though you are not spending any more money with them

In my experience and this is our second rib, some don't care at all, as soon as your Money has cleared and you have left you are on your own.

Welcome back Willk, have you taken any photos of other RIBs currently being built at Redbay?

I agree with kerny, great forums like these are ideal for recommendations for new ribbers.

ah no, nevva agree wiv kerny, he's go no taste, especially in motors

if only those dealers n manufactures that don't deliver the same service as Redbay read these comments then we'd stand some chance, but till he'll freezes over we've got the power of RIBnet to guide us

So on that note - the company that purchased Bryn Teg wanted her converted from her extremely luxurious wood interior c/w heads/shower and galley to a pure crew transport vessel. To that end, Redbay have stripped her and are refitting her for this purpose...

Can you tell what the two pipes are that go to the outdrives they look like they are to push water over the drives?

A special request for Islay. Two of the Operators there want them as they do all their own maintenance/repair work. I've no idea about the reliability.

Yes, those are leg showers to keep the gears cool when on the plane.

Great day at Redbay as usual.
Figured Deep6 was due an engine service and
with Easter looking and the hint of an Irish early
summer I shanghaied willk for towing services.

Door to door and only cost me the best fish and chips on the north coast
And he managed to keep it between the ditches. Fair play
