Monaco part II

Just got back from another visit to Monaco and this time I was there for the blessing of the two Parker ribs which we supplied in December 2014 to the Maritime Office of Monaco, Direction Des Affaires Maritimes of Monaco.
I travelled with my other half and we stayed for the weekend. The Parker Baltic Cruiser has been named “Sainte Devote II” and the Parker 680 JET “Corallium II”
The Blessing was conducted by the Archbishop of Monaco Monseigneur Barsi and the God Mother for the two Parker ribs was the Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development: Mrs Marie-Pierre Gramaglia.
The venue for the blessing was the quayside of the Monaco Yacht Club in Port Hercules and this was followed by a cocktail party and lunch at the Yacht Club.

I can highly recommend a weekend in Monaco. Very nice place and lots to see not to mention the casinos. These we kept away from. Mind you Monaco is not cheap

You mean the Norwegian Askeladden Commuter 10 looks like the Parker Baltic Cruiser. Both are the same and from the same stable only branded differently

I'm very lucky that I grew up in Monaco/Monte Carlo.... Well from the age of 5 to 13 anyway!
First living in an apartment block ( Le Perigord) on the eastern edge of MC then in Fontvielle just to the west of Monaco.
I took if for granted back then and only really started appreciating it when I was much older.
I was also lucky to have met the late Prince Rainier and Princess Grace who visited my school ( St Maur's, just next to the royal palace)

As you say, it really is a special place....I really must get back there one day.

Monaco part II

I have never seen an Askeladden Commuter 10 rib, I saw the Askeladden Commuter 805 at an exhibition. Very impressed. Very well made boats are manufactured in Poland.
