Maritime Security RIBS

Just spent a superb weekend in Poland handing over and running up the first twenty hours on three contracted for Maritime Security Parker 650 diesel ribs. Last year we did something similar only the water trails were at sea. This time we decided to stay inland and explore the wonderful network of canals. We started from Ostroda via canals / two locks to a 20 km long lake called Jeziorak where at the other end we had an enjoyable lunch in the town of Ilawa.
The engines are the Cummins QSD 2.0 170HP with B1 leg. Max speed with two persons no T-top 37knots and with T-top and 6 persons 30knots.
The forward seats are removable.

Looking good.

Makes me question adding a t-top with that sort of drop in speed (I know, 4 more people too).

The T-Top was added due the the area of operation ie; the Gulf to protect the crew. We did not get a chance to test with a full load and T-Top but we know the client is satisfied. the ribs are used for patrol not interception and the reason for diesel is that they are launched from a mother ship where petrol is not allowed on deck.
