RIB International Console

Putting that huge Lowrance plotter in the middle is surely:

1) a visibility limiter
2) something nasty to break when you bouunce forward

How HIGH is that windscreen??

Bruce,

This pic shows the windscreen height better. I wouldn't really say it limits visibility as most people when navigating tricky passages, tend to stand up. The advantage of having it like this is that you don't need to look down to check the plotter, instead being able to keep one eye on the water and the other on the plotter. As for bouncing forward, I should hope not as it's an 8.5m Tornado.

Ricky,

That was the main thing I wanted to ask Laurence also, but he was constantly selling boats. Barnet Marine definitely did well for themselves at the show.

However from talking to an engineer from Barrus, he liked how they were rigged and reckoned that the Tornado's high lift/ high load capacity hull would cope well with the weight of the engine. Surely Rib International will be doing a feature on their new boat anyway. we'll just have to wait and see.
