Life saved by Pacific 24

Not posted on here for a while as I sold the Zodiac and bought a couple of sea kayaks then got into sailing. Whilst sailing across the Atlantic earlier this year on the clipper60 Clyde Challenger we hit a nasty storm got knocked down and lost our mast ended up being fished out of the middle of the the ocean by the Royal Navy who launched a Pacific 24 from HMS Dragon I made a video of the crossing and rescue https://youtu.be/caOhSxzL5p4

Wow Zodiacman, thanks for that.

How did they scupper the yacht?

What an experience, so glad it ended like it did.

Nice vid. I can’t imagine 14 onboard. I have experienced 6 onboard doing two shifts , after 7 day’s it was good to get some space.

Wow! Also curious to what happened to the yacht. Did you guys scuttle it or did they blow it up?

We had to scuttle it by disconnecting and opening the sea cocks the damage done in the knockdown and the damage to the hull sustained in the first rescue attempt made it unviable for salvage plus we were 400 miles from land
