The boat was originally designed to be dropped from an aircraft so is extremely heavy duty in all respects. The electronics are based around the Garmin 3210 bundle, with Interphase forward/side scanning sonar and the SeaMarshall system which allows divers in the water to activate a locating device on the boat. I've wanted to install Stidd seats in a RIB for a long time and this boat was perfect for the application - replacing multiple bolsters. A great project and lots of fun to work on.......
Nice rigging job so far Sunrider, looks like there is quite a bit yet to be done, lots of work! Who did you use for the replacement sponsons? And were you satisifed with their work? From time to time I work on a "project" and I like to have options available. I have had work done by Nautica and Demaree but no one else as of yet, always interesting to hear others opinions.
By the way, love the tow vehicle.... what are they bringing these days?

The tubes were originally ordered from Demaree, but they had some rush military orders that delayed mine so I ordered from Henshaws in the UK. There were several problems and I will probabaly not order from that source again - PM if you would like details.

although one of the world's largest dealers of ex-military trucks is located in my small hometown (www.vintagepowerwagans.com), the boat buyers got the truck from someone in New Hampshire and I never asked the price - it was in near perfect condition though.

We are well. My new boat was great (ocean pro 6.3) but Jono talked me in to selling it, So I sadly let her go last weekend as the nesting season is fast approching for the ospery.

Not sure yet. It is a toss up between another ocean pro 6.3 or a Vipermax 5.8

I hate those dogy little cube pontoons.

They should be banned or used to get old people to loose up their joints!!!

Why do you hate them? Seems like a cheaper alternative to the air berth systems and saves on antifouling?
