Thanks for info.....interesting indeed.

I couldn't find one of my whole rig, but I came across this old photo. It snowed hard the day after we went crabbing. You can see my old Subaru Forester up by the house, so technically I guess it is my whole rig, just not in one piece.

I will have to take a photo of the new boat and the new(er) Subaru next time I go somewhere!

My Rig

Here is a shot of my new C4 and my 2002 Subaru Outback H6. The H6 pulls the boat like it isn't even there and the AWD makes even gravel ramps easy.

Mine "boat on trailer" real weight is 1200 kg. GVW of trailer is 1300 kg so any car can tow it.

A few y ago it was really good currency rate USD to Polish zloty and friend of mine used to import cars from US so I have "standard family US car"
Trailer is Brenderup 1300 with big blue soft rollers.

Hi folks,

Here's my own rig. Isuzu Dmax towing an Osprey Vipermax 6.8 on a Rapide trailer.
Collected the boat early summer at Osprey's premises and then drove up to the Hebrides. First launch in Loch Carnan South Uist.

Cheers,

Did you use Isuzu on long trips ?
My VAN is very comfortable but it consumes a lot of petrol when tow my RIB.
My RIB real weight (trailer, some petrol, ...) is 1200 kg and on the way to Greece my car consumed 14 l per 100 km (trailer with boat, 5 persons in the car, a lot of things in the rear bag). Without trailer it was less than 10 l per 100.

So sometimes I think to change it ...
