On the road at last

Lomac Club 730, behind 1989 Chevy Surburban 4x4, 3/4 ton, 5.7. Discovered that with boat in tow the rig would move off the driveway without touching the accelerator peddle, how ever it will only do 85mph flat out so all low end grunt. New safety chains and two speed winch ( I like), redone light board and transom tiedowns.

Hi Codders, have you been on the toot again?
PS. That large Cactus ( saguaro) would sell for about $5K including transplanting.

Not a rib and not my boat but it is my car! Towed from Aberdeen to Findhorn.

Didnt (i mean couldnt) get above 45/50 all the way back. This pic was taken around 5/6 miles after the end of the dual carriageway after the 40 car queue had passed! Oops! Oh and we still had around 60 miles to go how we didnt get stopped i dont know!

I am off to collect my new hull next weekend, be a while before I build it all up but do intend to get up there this year as usual. May do a couple of dives but mainly to picnic on the isles and go for a few runs.
I will be a lot more active meeting up once we are waterborne.............

I bet its on the seal colony island, the one with the shingle beach joining two small islands.
That the one we always picnic on cos you can get the boat in and anchor and the seals come and watch.
It is one of the inner islands on the south side of the loch.
