Well normally I'd step from a pontoon into the boat!

The cubes all move individually so waves moves each cube up and down seperately. Its like a mexican wave in a stadium if you see what I mean.

I guessed you'd climb in off the pontoon, I might be being stupid, but wanted to know how the boat itself gets on and off the cubes.

Nasher.
You just drive the boat at the cubes (slowly) and they sink because of the weight. They also do wedge shaped cubes to put on the end, making it easier to get on.

There is a groove up the centre for the boat to drive up onto - the hull sits only just above water level so that you can trim the engine down and reverse off, likewise you can drive on and then trim the engine clear of the water - no anti fouling required! ........

Its made by a company called Versadock. They have a number of uk distributors. Our local Norfolk Broads rescue boat service keeps a 6m rib on one; ive driven on and off it a number of times and it apears to be a very good system.

The versadock looks a good idea..
But we pay mooring fee's per sq ft, so it would increase my fees by a third (eek)
I don't think it would be viable.

Nick,

What kind of RIB is that then.

Shouldn't you have moved on to pastures new by now. Or have the hard boats not got any forums..........

Not meant to offend but this is a RIB forum.

Nick, we still have Baby Spice too so perhaps we could do a Priory Bay Formula Sibs Race, Anchor the Gin Palaces slightly off the beach to make a course and spectator area.
