Such a fitting ending - going up Ben Nevis.

Brought back memories of clambering up that particular route myself many years ago.

Ah, home. I can actually see my house in the picture looking up loch Eil.

One of the times I was at the top I met a Duke of Edinburgh Award group, two of the kids were out on that very cornice in the picture below, they were jumping up and down on the edge of it getting bits of the cornice to break off and were watching the bits fall to earth hundreds of meters below.

I couldn't believe my eyes, nobody bothered. I eventually got them to see sense.

We did Nevis via the north east route over the arÍte, as we walked over the arÍte 2 RAF tornados came up the valley towards us ( we were looking down on them, very odd) as they came over the arÍte one of them barrel rolled directly above us & the pilot was waving at us, magic
