Kohaku

I'd read so many interesting stories about other peoples Ribs I thought I'd like to contribute in my humble way.

Kohaku

The name Kahaku was chosen for my Rib because of my love of Koi. As you'll see from my pics Kohaku simply means Red and White in Japanese.

I bought her last November and have worked on getting the trailer road worthy (only one bank of rollers left to re-furbish/position).

Boat wise there wasn't much to do, other than the usual elbow grease. There are however a couple of nasty chips under the hull and gel coat damage along the bottom of the transom (where she slid off the trailer and onto the slip on the sea trial).

I also ended up with a pile of unwanted electrical cables after chopping away the miles and miles of tape that held it all together.

Anyone know how I could rejuvinate this old tired lettering. Would a marker pen be OK or is there a special paint?

I'm not tight, I just haven't got any money after digging that big hole! Bargain of the year goes to a Dremal type (dentists drill)multi-tool I purchased from Woolworths for a grand total of £20 and it comes with 120 bits.

Hope you enjoyed them. More to come!
