Kinsale - Aberystwyth last week

As an RNLI fund raiser, 16 Ribs left Kinsale last Friday to Aberystwyth and returned on the Sunday. a round trip of 385 miles. The weather outbound was rough F5-6 hence no pics....too busy holding on and trying to miss the holes!! Sunday was calm, but thick fog all the way to the Irish coast. Had an interesting VHF Con with the Stena fast ferry who was worried about his paintwork off fishguard hehe. Reckon as a group we raised 25,000 Euros. Enjoy the pics

Hey, well done to all!!

I think I recognise the Cobra. Does it belong to a Mr. Caulfield by any chance?? Could be wrong but I'm almost certain it's his boat. I've definitely seen Seajib (the Zodiac SRMN) around crosshaven before as well. I heard about the fundraiser back along and wanted to do it but have no rib at the mo.

Glad to hear it was a success

Not sure Swginn, the Cobra was a partnership boat, guy driving it was a Peter McD. There are 3 cobras that look the same in the harbour area. Loads of room on boats taking part......you should have spoken up and we would have got you a ride (So to speak !!)

Thanks, let me know when anything like this is happening again. Is there any website that I can check for Cork rib events.

Who was onboard the Marine Motors Redbay?

Good Idea SwGinn......I'll think about setting up a website.trouble is we tend to just do things at short notice. send me a pm with contact details and we'll meet up.

Dave Venner was driving with a guy from Mercury in the UK (see pic) in the jump seat

I know, can't wait. I see you've posted a pic of the demo XS-600 at the Sportsboat & Rib Show. It looks well, but I don't really like the colours. (mine's gonna have grey glass and black upholstery). Got any more pics?

I've got college exams for the nxt month (I'm only a young fella) so will be tied up with them. Drop me a PM if anything is happening though. New boat will mainly be based in Baltimore, but will be in Crosshaven for Cork Week. See you out on the water!!

Post a pic of your boat so I know who you are?
