Came across this recently by Photographer Henry Wills. This is Katandras' Summer Playground.

Enjoy.

[QUOTE=Ezgoing;181015] This is Katandras' Summer Playground.

Awesome photo. I'm assuming it was not made in summer.

Rosses Point, Co Sligo

Hi Ezi, tell em about Shruch na mile, Rosss Point, Deadmans Point and the currents that flow around Oyster Island and Coney Island.
Its worth while.
Where is the photo exactly in Sligo.
Sligo is a great place to have a rib run, maybe some of them will come over in a summer fest??

Hi Watchem, Heading out door to pick upsome kids so quick response for the moment, but shruch na mile means " Eddies or curents of the thousand".
My Father is from Rosss Point Co Sligo and told me all the stories of his growing up, nearly losing his sister xcpet for a wave washing her inboard the rowing boat, to tranquil evenings of no wind where my Grandfather would drift out (in 9 kts current) out to sea to fish at the height of an ebb tide, in the evening only to drift back in due course with the incoming tide a few hours later, "Heady Stuff" if not Heavy Stuff,
The incoming tide would rush past Coney and Oyster Island to fill up the bay.
I shall try to add map etc soon, Rosses Point, CO. Sligo, Ireland

KAtandras Playground

Aidan

Katandra playground is Enniscrone Co Sligo. Eastern shore of Killala bay.

There should be some photos on the www.oarsman.ie website.

We have a large shallow bay open to Arlantic swells with entrance bar to Moy river in inside of bay. Creates some interesting boating.
