John O'Groats

Whilst on our way up to the Orkneys, we stayed for a whole day in John O'Groats. So what do ribsters do on their day off? They go ribing of course. We chose to go with the "North Coast Explorer" to Stroma Island. About an hours trip for £15 !!! What a deal !!

Here is the boat. An aluminium hulled, water-jet driven, 480hp Cummins engined, 12 seater Ocean Dynamics.

And we came out again................

But hang on, didn't we go in forward as well?
Yes we did.
But amazingly they turn this boat round INSIDE and then drive it back out again!!
Try doing that in your own boatlength with anything other than a waterjet!

This is what happens to your boat if you don't watch the weather and the tides through The Pentland Firth !!
