Lots to see & do around Skye Maximus! to name but a few,

Talisker Distillery
Loch Courisk
Dunvegan Castle
Niest Point Lighthouse
Portree
Rona Acarsaid Mhor & Bothy
Waterfalls at Tote, Kilt Rock & Talisker
Skye Bridge & Eilean donan Castle close by
Plockton/Applecross nearby

West coast of Scotland has some of the finest boating grounds in the country. Its just the weather that can be....iffy

Applecross

Anyone here know what potential there is to visit Applecross by boat? (I really like Applecross) There's a small "harbour" well to the south that I've visited by land - is this the only/best option?

The Clyde Cruising Club "Sailing Directions" are very helpful for this sort of thing. You need the Ardnamurchin to Cape Wrath one - which unfortunately I don't have. if there is a practical option for going ashore there it will say so...

Some of the stuff I sent you may have it WA or dailing directions. Failing that a pm to your old mucked Bigmuz as he ribs up there.

Don't remember a harbour just a few moorings from my visit and I seem to remember Monty Halls launching further up the coast
Ain't there a guy on here from Loch Carron

Thanks guys - I'll check it out.

BTW, I'm not convinced Bigwuz is "real", I think he might be a Diageo ghost poster.
