Hi Bogi,

Am I getting confused. Is that the Artic Challenger then? I thought you were taking her by sea to Iceland? Or are you going to go from Iceland to UK instead?

Cheers,
Alan

To clarify the following:

This is not Arctic Challenger, this boat however was taken across from Norway to Iceland in 2004 via Faroe Islands and was at that time powered by Mercury 50 four stroke.

The Arctic Challenger is still in UK as missing items from UK suppliers so we have ran out of time this year to do the challenge.

In 2007 the Smyril Line will start sailing between Seyðisfjörður (Iceland) and Scrabsters (Scotland) so we could take AC back by ferry to UK as I would rather like to do UK to Iceland.

This is all very unexpected! The last we heard from you was back in May, when you were preparing for "Arctic Chellenger's first launch...

I don't understand how you've "run out of time" either.... there's plenty of opportunity yet!

We arrived but the boat was not ready for engine instalation and completion and still not is.

This years opportunity has gone by and surely there will be another oportunity which we are looking at.

That was over two months ago
Most 19" speedboats can be made from scratch in two months! Is this turning into a "codprawn" type saga?

Oh Ok. How far is Norway to Iceland vs Scrabster to Iceland? And presumably the 50hp 4 stroke was chosen for fuel efficiency over outright speed? How big are the fuel tanks? It must be a very different beast with a 260hp O/B!!!
